Archaeoligical sites:
The island is rich in stone age and bronze age history from the unique nuraghes to the sacred sites dotted around the island.
Trenino Verde:
The local Trenino Verde line runs from Macomer to Bosa Marina (though at the moment only to Tresnuraghes). It can be booked via Esedra Escursioni at https://www.esedraescursioni.it/
Museums:
There are a number of museums in and around the area. We recommend the ones at Bosa, Cabras, Sagama, Suni, Nuoro, Tresnuraghes and Santu Lussurgiu.
Tharros:
The ancient Phoenecian city of Tharros is near Cabras and is definitely worth a visit.

Events:
Bosa Beer Fest takes place in late April (around the 25th) every year.

Primevera nel Marghine and Autumn in Barbagia (https://www.paradisola.it/eventi-sardegna/autunno-in-barbagia/3048-calendario) are two major celebrations of Sardinian lifestyle with Cortes Apertas (open houses) in several towns and villages across the central belt of the island.
